Wednesday at Mt of Olives, Bethlehem, and more

Our guide Raouf started our day on the Mt. Of Olives, giving a good overview of the city of Jerusalem with some history, present day, and prophetic significance of various parts. Then we spent some time in the Garden of Gethsemane, (which means olive press,) recalling the prayer of Jesus before the crucifixion. He prayed, "Let this cup pass from me. Yet not my will, but yours be done". David invited us to spend a few minutes in prayer, lifting up an area where we feel life "pressing in" on us, praying and trusting the Heavenly Father for the answer that is best. We also visited the Israel Museum and the Shepherds' Field, and had lunch in a bedouin tent restaurant. Tonight we are going to the rabbinical tunnel and The Western Wall.
May I suggest if you have a few minutes, take an area of your life that feels like it is pressing in on you, and pray as Jesus did in Luke 22:42. Perhaps God has an answer that will bless you and others in ways you might never imagine. I am praying for you even as I share. May our Lord give you the desires of your heart, as you delight yourself in Him.

  2. Thanks Gayla. The site has been down when we've been available. We have been so busy, but it's wonderful. God is good.
Today we were on Mt. Carmel. Remember Elijah and the prophets of Baal?
It really pays to listen to the Lord's voice, trust Him completely, and watch for His
victory! Tonight we're at a hotel on the Sea of Galilee. Beautiful.
